The Discontinuation of Google Hangouts

In sometime in 2021 or 2022, Google Hangouts, the chat service by Google, is going to be discontinued. If you have used it this year, you might have saw the warning. But what does Google want you to switch to? While, 2 apps! Google Meet and Google Chat. Most TechyTommy readers don't know what Google Chat is. Google Chat is the newest chat app by Google! Here is it in Gmail (these pictures are blurred out a lot):

And here is just the Google Chat interface:

Now, the weird thing is that back in 2017 or 2018, Google tried to replace Google Hangouts with not Meet and Chat, but some apps you probably not used. Those apps are called Google Allo and Google Duo. I still am on Google Duo, and Google Allo, I was never on Google Allo. That was a text messaging-instant messaging hybrid app that nobody used, except for the Google Assistant. Yes, really! https://web.archive.org/web/20180208073539/https://allo.google.com/. And they switched everybody to the worst app ever, MESSAGES for your Android phone. But luckily, in 2021, they released a small app called Google Chat that you might have used at your business or school to everyone. And that, was not very popular. But I use it! But what can you do? While, if you have conversations on Google Hangouts, install Google Chat, and switch to it!
