Web pages

A web page is a place people

visit on the World Wide Web.

The World Wide Web

is part of the Internet.

A website is a group of

connected web pages." "Web pages are fun to explore.
On one page you can read
the news. On another you can
find a map of your town.
You can find nature videos,
recipes, and crafting projects
on web pages."

Overview

"Websites have many functions and can be used in various fashions; a website can be a personal website, a commercial website, a government website or a non-profit organization website. Websites can be the work of an individual, a business or other organization, and are typically dedicated to a particular topic or purpose. Any website can contain a hyperlink to any other website, so the distinction between individual sites, as perceived by the user, can be blurred. Websites are written in, or converted to, HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) and are accessed using a software interface classified as a user agent. Web pages can be viewed or otherwise accessed from a range of computer-based and Internet-enabled devices of various sizes, including desktop computers, laptops, tablet computers and smartphones. A website is hosted on a computer system known as a web server, also called an HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol) server. These terms can also refer to the software that runs on these systems which retrieves and delivers the web pages in response to requests from the website's users. Apache is the most commonly used web server software (according to Netcraft statistics) and Microsoft's IIS is also commonly used."

What is the Wayback Machine?

Have you ever seen this on your computer? That is the Wayback Machine! Here's a example of using it: Your teacher asks you to get the oldest version of the PBS Kids website. But you don't know how! So, you type in https://pbskids.org into the first text box, go to it from October 13, 1999, and there! Slideshow below: (P.S. I can't get to it from then) Now, where is the Wayback Machine? It's at web.archive.org !

My New Computer (Acer Spin 3)

So recently I got a new computer. So what are the differences? While, this laptop is a Windows laptop, which is new for me. This computer is an Acer Spin convertible, specifically an Acer Spin 3. One thing that this laptop has compared to my previous Chromebooks is that it has a Caps Lock key. So what is in this laptop? So should you get it? Yes. Now, when should you get it? Your choice. You can get it now, or get it when it is not an outside vendor. And I forgot to say, it comes with a stylus. So how many stars do I rate it? 5 stars. And there is also a backlit keyboard, but you can turn that on or off with the F8 key. And you will need to turn it on to turn it off. But overall, the Acer Spin 3 is a good laptop. I recommend this laptop to anyone who needs a good Windows laptop. To actu...
